Palais de l’Ile de la Cité, Paris, France
The new Vassogne courtroom in the Palais de Justice de Paris offers a radical approach to the judicial space. Built entirely from travertine stone, the project takes advantage of the absence of natural light to offer a continuous luminous ceiling from which a technical landscape is suspended. Perforated to meet acoustic performance, the raw stone offers direct contact with a natural material in a timeless environment.
Project in collaboration with Vorbot. Acoustic by Meta, Stonework by Artefacts.
